Your Privacy

All AskColorado users remain anonymous unless they choose to provide an e-mail address.

Login information
Name: AskColorado requires only a first name or alias. This assists the librarian in communicating with the user.

Place of residence: Users are asked to identify their Colorado county of residence, or indicate that they live in another state or outside the U.S. This information is used for statistical purposes and to help the librarian in finding local resources for the user, if applicable.

Grade Level: In order to help the librarian better answer the question, the user is asked for the grade level of information needed. This information will be used only to identify appropriate resources.

E-mail (Optional): If you would like a session transcript automatically e-mailed to you, please provide your e-mail address at the beginning or end of the session. Your e-mail will only be used to automatically send the transcript and will be deleted after seven days.

Login information and any communication contained in the session will be used only by AskColorado staff and will not be shared with any other entity unless required for safety or legal reasons. AskColorado collects information about transactions for quality assurance and statistical purposes.
